Week 1 Term 4

It was really good to be back at school after a very wet 2-week holiday. Our topic this term is 'Weather' and we started off by learning about The Water Cycle. We re-created our own Water Cycle in a plastic bag. We were able to to condensation, evaporation and condensation. We stuck our bags to the windows to get the sun's rays as this is essential to the Water Cycle!

Week 5 Term 3

We have a visiting student from Japan, Mr Noriki Yamasaki. He has taught us about Japanese greetings, games, food, festivals and holidays. The class really enjoyed learning how to make origami frogs!

Week 4 Term 3

We were really lucky this week - we had TWO cool things happening.
Our tennis lessons started this week with Campbell from Sports Auckland. We learned how to score in tennis and we also learned different strokes like forehand, backhand and volley. It was great fun and Campbell was really patient.

On Friday afternoon we had a special visitor at assembly. We were reminded about the importance of oral hygiene and eating healthy food.  After all, you are what you eat!

We were lucky enough to each receive a brand new toothbrush to help keep our teeth pearly white!

We had a very exciting assembly on Friday- NED visited us. NED is an acronym. It stands for:
N - Never give up
E - Encourage others
D - Do your best

Not only did we learn valuable life lessons, we also learned super-cool yoyo tricks!
