2018 Term 3 Week 8 - Fortnite Online Game
We are becoming increasingly aware of and concerned about many of our students playing the online game Fortnite. This game is recommended for those 12 years and over and seems to be extremely addictive.
Many children are staying up late and spending many hours on the game each night. We have definitely noticed changes in behaviour and energy levels of children who play the game regularly.
While we do not have control over what your children do while at home, we recommend that you make yourself aware of what your children are accessing on the internet. If you are allowing your child to play Fortnite, please also consider a time limit each day or week and balancing it with outdoor play and face-to-face interaction with friends and family.

2018 Term 3 Week 7 - Tongan Language Week
Mālō e lelei Glen Innes Whanau
Tongan Language Week was a great success with students (and teachers) making a concerted effort to learn Tongan words and phrases! Tongan Language Week ended today with a colourful assembly that included beautiful singing and some very graceful Tongan dancing! Students even got to try some authentic Tongan food prepared by our amazing staff - thank you very much!
Congratulations to Joshua and Hevaha for being selected from Room 10 to present their speeches at the Speech Competition on Thursday (yesterday).
Hevaha was the winner in the Junior School category, Nia Jaye from the Middle School and Harrison from the Senior School - malo!
