Can you support basketball?

Our students have the opportunity to compete in the 3v3 Year 5&6 or the 5v5 Year 7&8 Wednesday Basketball competition at the Tamaki Rec Centre every Wednesday from 4:45pm - 5:45pm.

We're looking for at least two parents to commit to getting the students there each week as our staff are already tied up in other activities.

If you can commit, please contact Mary at reception with your details - or get in contact with me to find out more.

Thanks for the support

A return to school and COVID-19 vaccinations

 Hi All

As if you could forget! School starts this Monday 26 July - our 55-day challenge is still in place so get your kids to school - and your neighbours as well!

Tomorrow all our staff are participating in a Ngati Paoa Cultural Tour of Sites of Significance - it's going to be a busy last day of term break.

Then we have been advised of the following:

Ngāti Whātua Ōrākei has opened a vaccination centre in Tamaki and is able to support Manaiakalani and your wider whānau to have their covid-19 vaccinations. We have made this super easy.

Tamaki Vaccination Site:

261 Morrin Road, Glen Innes

Opening hours:  We are open Monday – Friday 8am – 3.30pm

You can email us at vaccine@nwo.iwi.nz.  If transport is hard, we can also support with that.

Alternatively, if there is additional support needed please feel free to contact

Last Day of Term

Today is the final day of term.  I'm glad to say we still have a huge number of students who are qualifying for the attendance reward as they try and attend school for 50 days in a row. Keep up the good work.

After the poroporoaki at 2pm today when we farewell and thank Ms Tere and Ms Kalo for their work as they take up new challenges, the school will close around 2:40pm when the assembly ends. All whanau are welcome to join us at 2pm.

As per the newsletter sent home yesterday we restart for term 3 on Monday 26 July.

Have a wonderful break with the kids, do try to keep as much reading going as possible, including watching movies with subtitles switched on and getting your kids to master their counting or basic facts.
